November 5th Event to Benefit GRIT Members: Children with Special Needs, At-Risk Youth and Trauma Survivors
WHAT: GRIT Therapeutic Horsemanship (GRIT), a nonprofit 501(c)(3), invites the community to fall into the holiday season with some good old-fashioned fun at its first annual fall festival. The excitement will feature favorite pastimes, including: hay rides, roasting s’mores, pony rides, bobbing for apples and more! Additionally, GRIT will ensure your inner foodie is satisfied with a taco bar catered by Blue Goose Cantina.
If you have yet to snap the perfect photo for 2016 holiday cards, GRIT has you covered with on-site family photos. Pose in front of pumpkins and hay or with Jolly Old Saint Nick. Yes, the big guy himself will make his first debut of 2016 at the celebration! The fun will not stop there. During the Fall Festival, GRIT will host a raffle including prizes for the family and for parents in need of a little relaxation. Stay tuned on Facebook as GRIT unveils prize packages leading up to the event.
GRIT is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of members by promoting the partnership between horse and rider through two programs: Rhythm Riders, serving children with special needs, and The Sanctuary, serving at-risk youth and children and adults who are survivors of abuse and trauma. These riding programs promote the powerful and transformative partnership with the horse, producing physical, developmental and neurological benefits. GRIT’s riders Grow, Ride, Improve and Transform during sessions focused on horse-handling, care, and riding skills through the lens of natural horsemanship.

Cost: Tickets can be purchased online for $5 or $20 for four. Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for five.
