 ril 24 at 5pm. Tickets start at $30\, includes first glass of wine\, and s
 upports the nonprofits work.   \nDALLAS - Surviving the school car line re
 quires a battle plan\, and Lumedia Musicworks captures the experience in s
 ignature style with its latest short film School Car Line - A Survival Gui
 de. The short film launches at Veritas Wine Room\, an award-winning vino-p
 ub featuring a wide selection of wines\, charcuterie and cheese boards\, a
 nd handcrafted chocolate. The ensemble will perform prior to the film in a
  short concert connecting to the film’s story. Members of the cast and cre
 w will also be on hand to meet the audience.  \n The story is one every pa
 rent or grandparent can relate to: the endless line of cars\, the long wai
 t\, the cell phone ban. Jendi Tarde of Castle Hills stars as the main char
 acter\, a new mom to the experience. She survives the learning curve with
  the help of a handbook and careful supervision by a stern crossing guard\
 , portrayed by Jeff Burleson of Dallas.  Recorded by the Lumedia Musicwork
 s ensemble\, the soundtrack juxtaposes 18th century French music written f
 or the viola da gamba\, and includes footage of Dallas’s own Christopher P
 hilpott performing on an historical instrument. \n “Relatively few viewers
  will be familiar with this enchanting music\,” explains Lumedia Musicwork
 s artistic director Dr. Julianna Emanski. “But most\, if not all\, will re
 late to the subject matter which has many humorous moments.”  \n The short
  film release party reveals another creative side to the nonprofit.  “We h
 ad a lot of fun imagining the live performance portion of this event\,” sa
 id Lumedia Musicworks lutenist Hector Torres. “It’s got a script of its ow
 n that connects us to the audience and provides continuity to the film.” \
 n The short was filmed at Great Hearts Upper School in Irving\, Texas. “Th
 is was Lumedia’s first time working with school kids\,” said Lumedia Music
 works short film director Derrick Robert Brown of Dallas. “We filmed over
  spring break and they had a blast! It was a great opportunity for them. T
 hey loved experiencing the filming process.” \n The Short Film Release Par
 ty takes place on Sunday\, April 24\, at 5:00 pm at the Veritas Wine Room
